Self Storage Units
It’s quite amazing to know that simple problems concerning our personal and business lives are now given quick solutions. If your problem, for instance, is about not having enough space to store your personal belongings at home or paperwork as well as records for your business in the office,
the solution is self storage. Before, my idea of storage was just about warehouses where huge supplies of any kind of stuff are stored for long periods. But with the advent of self storage, I am really so thankful.
What it’s all about
Self storage allows people to store even just a few things in a safe place for say, several weeks, months or even years at less cost. Self storage is more flexible in that you can control your things. In other words, it’s a do-it-yourself solution with more freedom because people who avail of self-storage space no longer have
to follow certain rules, long-term contracts and pay high fees.
Through this great solution, the self storage spaces available for rent are fully enclosed and vary in size depending on your needs. It can be as small as a closet or as big as an apartment. And unlike the traditional storage methods, self storage provides easy access to people without any charge at any time. This only means that
you can take some of the stuff you stored and replace it with other things with no hassle, no waiting and no added cost. And should you need more space or need to lessen your space, you can quickly do it. Renters are also assured that their items would stay in place and not moved around by the provider without permission.
Self storage facilities give the responsibility of storing to renters from packing their items into the space and moving them out. This flexibility, therefore, allows renters to fill the storage space in the way they want such that they can easily access them without having to unload everything. Should you lack packing materials,
most facilities sell supplies and may even hire removal vehicles to help with the process.
Agreements and providers
Self storage providers normally ask for a deposit and weekly or monthly rental fees up front. However, at the time you decide to close your agreement, you will get a refund in full for the time you have not used the space. Agreements for self storage can also be terminated at very short notice. But unlike the traditional storage
providers that require prior notice if you need access, self storage firms do not charge fees to access your space.
Another benefit is its security because only the renter has the sole access to his or her storage space. The authorized key is given only to the renter but other key holders may be nominated if needed. Renters have the freedom to provide their own lock as well for more security. In addition to this, facilities have their own security
systems, too, such as CCTV, guards and alarm systems.
